Instructions for Authors

Before Submission

Authors must ensure their manuscript meets the following criteria:

  1. The manuscript is original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere.
  2. The research complies with ethical standards, including a clear Ethics Approval section if involving human or animal subjects.
  3. The language is clear and grammatically correct.
  4. The manuscript follows the official JASS formatting template.
  5. Figures are of acceptable quality and resolution and uploaded as separate files.
  6. References are accurately formatted and numbered in-text as per Vancouver style.
  7. The manuscript aligns with the journal’s scope and standards.
  8. Submissions that do not follow these guidelines will be returned without review.

Manuscript Preparation Guidelines

Formatting

  • Submit in Word format (.doc, .docx, or .rtf); LaTeX may be used for mathematically intensive articles.
  • Use Times New Roman, 10 pt, double-spaced, fully justified, single-column layout.
  • Apply consistent line numbering throughout.
  • Use the Equation Editor or MathType for equations.
  • Format tables using the Table function in Word.
  • Organize headings using a decimal structure (e.g., 1., 2., 2.1, 2.1.1).

Online Submission

Submit manuscripts through the Manuscript Tracking System (MTS). Only one of the listed authors may submit. For technical issues, contact: .

Initial Evaluation

Submitted manuscripts undergo editorial screening to ensure:

  • Compliance with ethical policies.
  • Suitability of content to the journal's scope.
  • Appropriate formatting and language quality.
  • Plagiarism check using iThenticate (similarity index must be acceptable).

Manuscripts failing initial checks will be rejected or returned to authors for revision. Final rejection decisions are confirmed by the Editor-in-Chief.

Submission Declaration and Verification

By submitting, authors affirm that:

  • The manuscript is unpublished and not under consideration elsewhere.
  • All authors approve the content and its submission.
  • Reuse of published content is properly cited and authorized.
  • The work will not be published in the same form elsewhere without consent.
  • All manuscripts undergo plagiarism screening via Crossref Similarity Check powered by iThenticate.
