Abstract
This study explores the attitudes of the Omani elite, (Media Experts and Academics) at Sultan Qaboos University toward the dialogue and opinion- oriented programs hosted by Arab Satellite Channels. It adopts the descriptive approach, and its survey-based methodology is generated through a questionnaire. The findings of the study emphasize several issues in connection with viewers? attitudes toward the above-mentioned programs: such as the existence of a positive statistical relationship between the exposure average of media experts and academics to dialogue and opinion- oriented programs and their attitudes toward them, as well as a positive statistical relationship between the exposure motives of the media experts and academics to the same programs and their attitudes toward them. Moreover, the study shows a positive statistical relationship between the degree of satisfaction attained from these programs and the attitudes of the media experts and academics to them.
