Abstract

The current study is based on an aesthetic study of a selection of Dilmun seals on Failaka Island. The study aimed to reveal the aesthetic aspects of the Dilmun seals on Failaka Island. The study used the descriptive and analytical approach to analyse (10) Dilmun seals that were selected intentionally according to the criteria of location, form, and subject matter. The study reached several interconnected results, perhaps the most prominent of which is that the functional and aesthetic structure of the seals is part of an integrated system resulting from repetition, rhythm, proportion, etc., which created interaction and harmony among them through design unity. The study recommended the importance of conducting specialized aesthetic studies on artifacts in the Arabian Gulf.

تقوم الدراسة الحالية على دراسة جمالية لمختارات من الأختام الدلمونية في جزيرة فيلكا. هدفت الدراسة إلى الكشف عن المظاهر الجمالية للأختام الدلمونية في جزيرة فيلكا، واستخدمت الدراسة المنهجين الوصفي والتحليلي لتحليل (10) أختام دلمونية، تم اختيارها بطريقة قصدية وفق معايير الموقع والشكل والموضوع. وتوصلت الدراسة إلى عدة نتائج، لعل أبرزها: أن البنية الوظيفية والجمالية للأختام هي جزء من منظومة متكاملة ناتجة من تكرار وإيقاع وتناسُب وغيرها، وقد أحدثت تفاعلًا وانسجامًا فيما بينها من خلال الوحدة التصميمية. وأوصت الدراسة بإجراء الدراسات الجمالية المتخصصة على القطع الأثرية في الخليج العربي؛ لأهميتها.
