Analysis of the Social Studies Curriculum for the Tenth Grade and Measuring the Extent of Its Connection to the Concept of Citizenship

Abstract

The current study aimed to study the analysis of the social studies curriculum for the tenth grade, and the extent to which it relates to understandable concepts. A descriptive analytical model was reached, which is pure for the nature and objectives of this study, to learn how to study in the analysis of the classic social studies book for the tenth grade, To achieve the objectives of the study, the researchers used the content analysis card tool to collect data. They used the analysis cards to calculate the frequency of citizenship concepts related to them in the social studies textbook for the tenth grade in the Sultanate of Oman for the first semester, analyze the results, and calculate the percentage. The results of the study revealed that there is a deficiency in including these concepts in the content of the scientific material. هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى دراسة تحليل منهج الدراسات الاجتماعية للصف العاشر، ومدى ارتباطه بمفاهيم المواطنة، وقد توسلت الباحثتان المنهج الوصفي التحليلي الذي يعد ملائمًًا لطبيعة هذه الدراسة وأهدافها، وتكونت عينة الدراسة في تحليل كتاب الدراسات الاجتماعية للصف العاشر للعام الدراسي، ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة قامتا الباحثتان باستخدام أداة بطاقة تحليل المحتوى لجمع البيانات، حيث استخدمتِِ بطاقات التحليل لحساب تكرار مفاهيم ا لمُُوا نَطَة والمرتبطة بها في كتاب الدراسات الاجتماعية للصف العاشر بسلطنة عُُ ا مَان للفصل الدراسي الأول، وتحليل النتائج وحساب النسبة المئوية. وكشفت نتائج الدراسة بأن هناك قصورًًا في إدراج هذه المفاهيم في محتوى المادة العلمية، وعليه يترتب لفت النظر إلى ضرورة تعزيز المحتوى بهذه المفاهيم ومهارات المواطنة السليمة، وتحسين مستوى المؤشرات العالمية، وتغيير المحتوى ليتناسب مع أولويات رؤية عُُمان (2040). وأوصت الدراسة بضرورة تطوير مناهج الدراسات الاجتماعية للصف العاشر وفق أولويََّات وثيقة رؤية عُُ ا مَان (2040). إضافة إلى تضمين كتب الدراسات الاجتماعية للقضايا الاقتصادية والاجتماعية الوطنية.
